Baseball Game Preview: Oxford Wildcats vs. Adams Highlanders

For the second straight game, Oxford will face off against Adams. The Wildcats will face off against the Highlanders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Oxford has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Adams will come in with six straight victories.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Oxford and Adams, and Adams kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders on Tuesday.

Oxford got a good showing from Kellen Socha, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Socha has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jack Hendrix made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Drew Cady also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Adams' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Oxford, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
