It's playoff time, and Mountain View had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 51-43 victory over the Discovery Canyon Thunder on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Mountain Lions sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Mountain View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cole Tonniges, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Tonniges a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Garland, who earned 14 points and six rebounds.

Mountain View was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 9-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Discovery Canyon's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hugh Tarpenning, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Micah Rohacs, who shot 50% from the field en route to 11 points.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Discovery Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Mountain View nor Discovery Canyon have any future games scheduled.
