Humboldt is 8-2 against Cherryvale since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cubs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Humboldt took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Neodesha. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cubs have posted against the Blue Streaks since March 27, 2023.

Meanwhile, Cherryvale entered their tilt with Baxter Springs on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Lions.

The win made it two in a row for Humboldt and bumps their season record up to 13-4. As for Cherryvale, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.

Humboldt took their win against Cherryvale when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Cubs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
