Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Cougars vs. Bend Lava Bears

For the second straight game, Mountain View will face off against Bend. The Cougars will take on the Lava Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain View has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mountain View is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Bend just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lava Bears, falling 23-9.

Bend has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-5.
