Baseball Recap: The Classical Academy Comes Up Short

The Classical Academy dropped their record down to 17-5 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 14-1 to the Falcon Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

The Classical Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Mediavilla, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Falcon, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games.

On Falcon's side, Ronan Sadorus tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Sadorus has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Falcon got a massive performance out of Brayden Millikan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ethan Gentz, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, The Classical Academy will square off against Pueblo County at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Falcon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
