Basketball Recap: Princeton Takes a Loss

The Princeton Panthers came up short against the Prosper Eagles on Tuesday, falling 74-50. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Eagles are ranked 17th).

Princeton's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Prosper, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Princeton will square off against McKinney Boyd at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Prosper, they are taking a road trip to challenge Plano West at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Plano West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Prosper likes a good challenge.
