Football Game Preview: Tanner Rattlers vs. Pisgah Eagles + How To Watch

The Tanner Rattlers will take on the Pisgah Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tanner has given up an average of 33.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Tanner had to suffer through a 46-7 loss at the hands of Sweet Water. The Rattlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Pisgah came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Rams as they made off with a 36-10 win. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Pisgah's win came from a few key players Tanner will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Landon Watkins, who rushed for 45 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 54 receiving yards. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Cape Duncan, who picked up 65 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Pisgah's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Tanner, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Tanner took a serious blow against Pisgah in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 66-38. Can the Rattlers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
