Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Ritchie County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Doddridge County Bulldogs by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Chelsie Jeffrey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rindy Perkins, who got three hits from her three at bats.

Ritchie County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Doddridge County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Ritchie County by a score of 10-4 on Saturday.
