Meanwhile, Grafton faced East Fairmont in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bearcats who were credited with the win. Grafton got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to East Fairmont's three. Braydon Taylor had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Grafton.

Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 15-4-3. As for Nitro, their win bumped their record up to 20-0-2.
