Softball Recap: Andrews Osborne Academy Wins Going Away Against Medina Christian Academy

Andrews Osborne Academy won the last time they faced Medina Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Phoenix put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 13-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Phoenix.

Iris Parker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Parker was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izzy Schuller, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Marley Novak was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Andrews Osborne Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in four consecutive games.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Medina Christian Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrews Osborne Academy will venture away from home to square off against Brush at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Medina Christian Academy, they will head out to take on Mansfield Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights are facing the Flames at the right time seeing as the Flames are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
