Mandarin won the last time they faced Yulee and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Hornets 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Kyla Hollis paced Mandarin's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hollis got some help from Madison Cady and her 23 assists. Sadie Matthews controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, Yulee still got an impressive performance from Mylie Breutzmann, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Mandarin's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Yulee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Mandarin has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Oakleaf on the 13th. As for Yulee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Tocoi Creek on the 13th.
