Football Game Preview: Goshen RedHawks vs. Concord Minutemen

Goshen is 0-10 against Concord since September of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The RedHawks will host the Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Goshen took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 24-15 victory over Wawasee. The win was a breath of fresh air for the RedHawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Goshen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Douglas Diaz, who rushed for 59 yards and two scores, and also threw for 143 yards and one touchdown. Spencer Elliott was another key receiver, picking up 106 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Concord). They came out on top against NorthWood by a score of 44-34 on Friday.

Goshen better keep an eye on CHAR'RESE BREVEARD. He was instrumental in Concord's win, rushing for 147 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 55 receiving yards and one score. BREVEARD showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards.

Concord's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Goshen, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.
