Baseball Recap: Davis Sr. Victorious

Davis Sr. extended their postseason success on Friday against Granite Bay. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Grizzlies 8-6. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won three in a row.

Charlie Sheridan looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eli Burnham, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Max O'Geen was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Davis Sr. hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Granite Bay struck out seven times.

Davis Sr. pushed their record up to 20-9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Granite Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-18.

As of now, neither Davis Sr. nor the Grizzlies have any future games scheduled.
