Saturday, 2:00 PM

Both Coppell and Round Rock have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Saturday at 2:00 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. Coppell is coming into the game hot, having won eight in a row.

Coppell snuck past Rockwall with a 29 - 25 victory last week. Senior wide receiver Matt Dorrity provided the team with an impressive 145 receiving yards in the victory. Dorrity has been a consistent playmaker for Coppell as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Round Rock didn't have too much trouble with Klein Oak in its last game, where Round Rock won 39 - 22. Junior running back Malik Pena didn't have many carries in the previous game, but he had more touches this time and made them count as he ran for 113 yards and punched in one touchdown.

Their wins bumped Round Rock to 9-3 and Coppell to 10-2. The two teams picked up some nice yardage in their most recent games (425 for Coppell and 502 for Round Rock), so expect some excitement on the offensive end of the ball.
