Baseball Game Preview: Prince of Peace Prep Irish vs. Marquette Defenders

The Prince of Peace Prep Irish are taking a road trip to face off against the Marquette Defenders at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Prince of Peace Prep has given up an average of 12.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Prince of Peace Prep lost 13-1 to North Linn on Thursday. The Irish haven't had much luck with the Lynx recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Marquette made easy work of Monticello on Friday and carried off a 10-3 victory. The Defenders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Marquette and bumps their season record up to 12-1. As for Prince of Peace Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Prince of Peace Prep might still be hurting after the 23-6 defeat they got from Marquette in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. Can the Irish avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
