Soccer Recap: Mt. Pleasant Takes a Loss

After flying high against Southmoreland on Tuesday, Mt. Pleasant came back down to earth. The Vikings came up short against the Charleroi Cougars on Thursday, falling 3-0. Mt. Pleasant were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Charleroi apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Mt. Pleasant's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Charleroi, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Mt. Pleasant wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against South Park on the 20th. As for Charleroi, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 9-1 win against Southmoreland on the 23rd.
