Chaparral has gone 10-0 against Heritage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Chaparral Wolverines will challenge the Heritage Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chaparral is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Regis Jesuit on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Chaparral came up short against Regis Jesuit, falling 56-34. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Salem Sherman, who posted eight points and six boards. Aggie Seibold was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 85-18 loss at the hands of Highlands Ranch. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Falcons are ranked third).

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Chaparral, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Everything came up roses for Chaparral against Heritage in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 59-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chaparral since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
