Baseball Recap: Dunkirk's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

Dunkirk suffered their biggest loss since May 3, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against the Fredonia Hillbillies, falling 19-3. The loss was the Marauders' first of the season.

Dunkirk saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Lemanski, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dunkirk fell to 7-1. As for Fredonia, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Dunkirk will square off against Salamanca at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something the Marauders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fredonia, they will take on Hutchinson-Central Tech at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
