On Thursday Smith Goracke pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The effort marked the fewest hits Goracke has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than two walks. For the season, he has an ERA of 3.09 over 11.3 innings pitched.

Goracke and St. David will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coastal Christian at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Warriors haven't beaten the Centurions recently, having gone 0-3 since March of 2018.
