Bucksport scored a shocking upset when it eliminated Maine Central Institute, 42-35. At the time, the Huskies were ranked 22nd in the state, while the Golden Bucks were 36th.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Bucksport, who took down 22nd ranked Maine Central Institute, 42-35. Jack Cyr ran for 204 yards and caught 1 pass for 13 yards during the win.

Bucksport's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Golden Bucks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matthew Stewart has thrown for 741 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Josh Gray has 24 catches for 420 yards.

The top two teams in D East will face off this week when first place Mattanawcook takes on second place Bucksport.

Stewart and Gray provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Tom Bertrand's team. The connection was good for 73 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
