Basketball Game Preview: Falcon Falcons vs. Pueblo County Hornets

The Falcon Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Pueblo County Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pueblo County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Falcon, who comes in off a win.

Falcon took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-35 victory over The Classical Academy. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Falcon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cierra Barbary, who posted ten points. What's more, Barbary also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2023. Cobelyn Wiesner was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Pueblo County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by Liberty 57-28.

Falcon pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.7 points per game. As for Pueblo County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
