Basketball Game Preview: Cross Stingrays vs. Clinton Red Devils

The Cross Stingrays and the Clinton Red Devils will round out the year against one another at at 12:45 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cross saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were dealt an 82-35 loss at the hands of Durham Academy. While losing is never fun, the Stingrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 271st in South Carolina, while the Cavaliers are ranked 116th in North Carolina).

Meanwhile, Clinton was beaten by Durham Academy 92-64 on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Cross and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
