Basketball Game Preview: Lindsay Leopards vs. Comanche Indians

Lindsay and Comanche are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Lindsay Leopards will square off against the Comanche Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lindsay will be strutting in after a win while Comanche will be coming in after a loss.

If Lindsay beats Comanche with 50 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went Lindsay's way against Bridge Creek on Tuesday as Lindsay made off with a 50-29 victory. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Comanche suffered their biggest defeat since December 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Purcell and fell 60-30. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Dragons are ranked 103rd).

Lindsay's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Comanche, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Lindsay strolled past Comanche in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 45-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lindsay since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
