Softball Recap: Treasure Coast Takes a Loss

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Treasure Coast was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against the Martin County Tigers, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in February.

Treasure Coast saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kathryn Worley, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Treasure Coast now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Martin County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Treasure Coast will host South Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Martin County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against John Carroll Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for the Tigers: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Rams have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
