Soccer Recap: Shaw Takes Down Coahulla Creek in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shaw had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Coahulla Creek Colts with a sharp 3-0 win. Shaw might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by three goals or more this season.

Kelvin Reyez and Camryn Tharp scored all three of Shaw's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 47 goals.

Shaw's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven games. As for Coahulla Creek, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Coming up, Shaw will take on Drew Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Drew Charter will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Shaw surely won't give up without a fight. Coahulla Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
