Volleyball Recap: Westerville North Warriors vs. Hilliard Bradley Jaguars
Westerville North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars, falling 3-0. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2016.
Westerville North was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hilliard Bradley work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 28-26, 25-21.
Hilliard Bradley was led to victory by Kendal Barber and Katie Statti. Barber had ten digs, while Statti had seven digs and two assists. Those ten digs gave Barber a new career-high.
Westerville North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Looking ahead, Westerville North will take on Dublin Coffman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilliard Bradley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Westland on the 18th.
