Baseball Game Preview: Mount Si Wildcats vs. North Creek Jaguars

The Mount Si Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the North Creek Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mount Si will be strutting in after a win while North Creek will be coming in after a loss.

Mount Si not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024. Everything went their way against Mercer Island as they made off with a 7-0 victory.

Beau Franks looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Taylor Davis was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Jayden White also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, North Creek fell victim to Eastlake and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jaguars have suffered since April 10, 2024.

North Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Swallom, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Mount Si pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for North Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
