Basketball Game Preview: Platte Canyon Huskies vs. Strasburg Indians

The Platte Canyon Huskies will head out to take on the Strasburg Indians at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Thursday, Platte Canyon was beaten by Bennett 93-44. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Tigers are ranked 82nd).

Meanwhile, Strasburg came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Huskies with points to spare, taking the game 69-53.

Platte Canyon better keep an eye on Tyce Bollers. He was instrumental in Strasburg's win, going 9 for 14 en route to 24 points along with five boards and four steals. What's more, Bollers also posted a 64% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in January of 2024. Colton Holloway was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Platte Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Strasburg, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.
