Basketball Game Preview: North Ridgeville Rangers vs. Nordonia Knights

The North Ridgeville Rangers will square off against the Nordonia Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

North Ridgeville is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They fell 66-59 to Olmsted Falls. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 234th).

Meanwhile, Nordonia hadn't done well against Copley recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Nordonia blew past Copley 74-34. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

North Ridgeville's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Nordonia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

North Ridgeville strolled past Nordonia when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 67-50. Will North Ridgeville repeat their success, or does Nordonia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
