Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Millbrook

The Liberty Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Millbrook Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Liberty's offense. They fell 2-0 to Sherando on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Liberty can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Sherando are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Millbrook also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Meridian by a score of 4-2. Millbrook have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Millbrook's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Liberty might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Millbrook in their previous matchup on April 4th. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
