Recap: Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton Raiders vs. Sharon Springs Central Spartans
The Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton Raiders had to endure a three-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Sharon Springs Central by a score of 41-33 on Friday. This was payback for Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton, who suffered a 33-0 loss the last time these two teams met.
When it comes to explaining why Sharon Springs Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lilly Tessier. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tessier has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zarie Fassett, who scored ten points along with three steals.
The victory got Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton back to even at 1-1. As for Sharon Springs Central, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
