Volleyball Recap: Freedom's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Freedom came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Pocono Mountain West Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-8, 25-16.

Freedom's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayden Willman led the charge by getting ten kills, six digs, and two blocks. Willman is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had seven or more in each of the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Om Chand, who had five kills, five digs, and four aces.

Freedom was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in March.

Freedom pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Pocono Mountain West, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Freedom wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Nazareth Area on the 22nd. As for Pocono Mountain West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Pocono Mountain East on the 17th.
