Softball Recap: Spring Hill Gets the Win

Spring Hill took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Cutter-Morning Star, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since March 22, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Zoey Varner, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season. Chloe Cobb was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Spring Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Spring Hill's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Cutter-Morning Star, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
