Softball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Eastside's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the James F. Byrnes Rebels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured 14 losses in a row.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17-1. As for James F. Byrnes, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2.

Coming up, Eastside is taking a road trip to face off against Southside Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for James F. Byrnes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spartanburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Rebels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
