Basketball Recap: Luther Cougars vs. Morrisville-Eaton Warriors

The Luther Cougars had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 86-68 victory over Morrisville-Eaton on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

It was another big night for Tristan Elcock, who scored 30 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Justin Trail, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Luther now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Morrisville-Eaton, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Luther will head out on the road to face off against the Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Morrisville-Eaton, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Hawkeyes at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. One thing working in Cooperstown's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
