Xavier entered their tilt with Hempstead on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 75-36 win over the Hempstead Mustangs. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Mustangs are ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Xavier has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
