Basketball Recap: Huss Huskies vs. South Point Red Raiders

Huss was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Point Red Raiders. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Raiders earlier this season, when they won 62-53.

Huss' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Swann, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 22 rebounds. Swann has become a key player for Huss: the team is 15-5 when she posts at least ten boards, but 1-2 otherwise. Jaleila Littlejohn was another key player, going 9-for-17 on her way to 21 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

It was another big night for Amya Graham, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 18 boards for South Point.
