Football Recap: Paiden Cash Dalhaug's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Highland over Mesa + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Highland can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mesa Jackrabbits by a score of 27-24 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hawks have suffered since November 1, 2024.

Highland lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Paiden Cash Dalhaug, who threw for 216 yards and two TDs.

It was another big night for Rio Arnett, who rushed for 153 yards and one score for Mesa. Arnett is becoming a predictor of the Jackrabbits' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 6-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Kingston Anetema also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Mesa): his a 45-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

Highland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. As for Mesa, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Highland nor the Jackrabbits have any future games scheduled.
