Recap: North Duplin vs. Lejeune

North Duplin won the last time they faced Lejeune, and things went their way on Friday, too. North Duplin took their matchup against Lejeune by a conclusive 56-22 score. The success made it back-to-back wins for North Duplin.

Senior Kobe Ullrich and senior Desmond Johnson were two go-getters for Lejeune despite the defeat. The former rushed for 118 yards and 1 touchdown, while the latter rushed for 104 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with 18 tackles Johnson was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse sophomore Zach Furness, who racked up 10 tackles.

The win bumped North Duplin's record up to 3-1. Lejeune are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.

North Duplin will stay at home next week against Southside at 7:00 PM. Lejeune will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against Richlands in two weeks.
