Basketball Recap: Greensburg Gets the Win

Greensburg won the last time they faced South Decatur, and Jack Mckinsey did his part to make sure it happened again. The Greensburg Pirates were the clear victor by a 65-40 margin over the South Decatur Cougars on Saturday thanks in part to Mckinsey, who went 6 for 11 en route to 15 points along with five assists and five boards. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why South Decatur lost, don't look at Drake Scaggs. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Ballard, who went 5 for 8 en route to 10 points.

Greensburg's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for South Decatur, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Greensburg will take on Lawrenceburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greensburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. As for South Decatur, they will square off against Hauser at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
