Baseball Recap: Williamson Marauders vs. Byron-Bergen Bees
Williamson won against East Rochester on Tuesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Marauders had just enough and edged out the Byron-Bergen Bees 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Bees: they've now won four in a row.
David DeFisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Caiden Watson was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Myles Wurtz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
