Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial managed to slip by Louisville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Broncos were beaten by the Lions 59-27 on Saturday. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-13.

Chase Robinson was Centennial's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Tripp Hawley took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Jase Ostblom had a dynamite game For Louisville., dropping a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Ostblom's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Witte, who shot 43% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Louisville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Centennial will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Sandy Creek on Thursday. As for Louisville, they have already played their next matchup, a 59-34 loss against Auburn on the 9th.
