Softball Recap: Lakin Victorious

16 must be Lakin's lucky number: they beat Elkhart with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Broncs beat the Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. The Broncs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lakin got a massive performance out of Lileah Villa, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run was Villa's first of the season. Elitza Fonseca was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Lakin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lakin's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Elkhart, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7-1.
