            Football Recap: East Robertson Indians vs. Houston County Fighting Irish        
        
		
        
        
            
East Robertson and Houston County pushed the score to  50-12 the last time they played Houston County, but  on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Indians really took it to the Fighting Irish for the full four quarters, racking up  a  27-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six matchups by 20  points or more  so far this season.
East Robertson got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Caleb McNeil out in front who rushed for 124 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only 12 carries. What's more,  McNeil posted two  rushing touchdowns, the most he's  had since back in November of 2024.  Kason Young was another key player, having thrown for 263 yards and two touchdowns.
 East Robertson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Zach Groves and  Zayviyan Groves. Another thorn in Houston County's side was  Seth Keith, who picked up  a  sack and made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

The  win keeps East Robertson at an undefeated 8-0. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 32.6 points this season. As for Houston County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
 East Robertson and Houston County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  games. The next time the Indians see the field they'll take on Greenwood  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th.
