Softball Game Preview: Waverly Wolverines vs. Chenango Forks Blue Devils

The Waverly Wolverines will face off against the Chenango Forks Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Waverly has three straight victories, Chenango Forks has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Waverly lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Owego Free Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over the River Hawks on Monday. Considering the Wolverines have won five matchups by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Chenango Forks fell victim to Chenango Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-0.

Waverly's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Chenango Forks, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
