Baseball Game Preview: St. Johns Redwings vs. Fowlerville Gladiators

St. Johns is 2-8 against Fowlerville since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Redwings will venture away from home to challenge the Gladiators at 4:00 p.m. St. Johns will be strutting in after a win while Fowlerville will be coming in after a loss.

St. Johns will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Eaton Rapids on Thursday. The Redwings put the hurt on the Greyhounds with a sharp 12-5 victory.

Meanwhile, Fowlerville came up short against Marshall on Thursday and fell 7-3. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Johns has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Fowlerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

St. Johns couldn't quite get it done against Fowlerville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 11-6. Can the Redwings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
