Basketball Game Preview: Greeneville Greene Devils vs. Dobyns-Bennett Indians

Having just played yesterday, the Greeneville Greene Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Dobyns-Bennett Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greeneville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.

On Monday, Greeneville was able to grind out a solid win over West Ridge, taking the game 67-59.

Greeneville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maria Lyde, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Lyde has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Abby Adkins was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Dobyns-Bennett got the win against South Greene last Monday by a conclusive 46-25. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won five in a row.

Greeneville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 18-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Dobyns-Bennett, their record now sits at 9-15.

Everything went Greeneville's way against Dobyns-Bennett in their previous meeting back in January, as Greeneville made off with a 63-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greeneville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
