Baseball Game Preview: Archbishop Riordan Crusaders vs. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish

For the second straight game, Archbishop Riordan will face off against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. The Crusaders will face off against the Fightin' Irish at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Archbishop Riordan turned things around against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Fightin' Irish.

Mason Cohn looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Nathan Zuromski was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Jacob Dubriwny also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Archbishop Riordan, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-9-1.
