Basketball Recap: Harding County Beats Hitchcock-Tulare for Their Eighth Straight Victory

Harding County extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Bailey Rae Verhulst. The Harding County Ranchers came out on top against the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots by a score of 47-40 on Saturday thanks in part to Rae Verhulst, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points and seven steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 18 times she's played.

Hitchcock-Tulare's loss came despite strong showings from Gracyn Bixler and Katelyn Schroeder. Bixler went 5 for 6 en route to 12 points and six boards, while Schroeder posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Harding County's record is now 8-0. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Harding County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hill City at 3:30 p.m. on January 31st. Harding County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they will take on Highmore/Harrold in a tournament on Monday. Highmore/Harrold will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Hitchcock-Tulare surely won't give up without a fight.
