Softball Recap: Union Pines Vikings vs. Scotland Fighting Scots

If Union Pines was riding high off their 19-4 takedown of Pinecrest last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Union Pines Vikings lost 13-4 to the Scotland Fighting Scots on Friday. Union Pines has not had much luck with Scotland recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Kaitlyn Blue was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk).
